User guide — end to end workflow

From first login to printed seller bill in six steps.

  1. 1

    Sign up & log in

Create an account on the login page. After sign-in you enter your private workbook. Admins use the same login with an admin role.

  2. 2

    Fill the Calculator sheet

Add product rows (name, qty, seller price $). Enter conversion rate, shipping, clearance, payment type (self or GST bill), weights, and freight rate. The landing total updates live.

  3. 3

    Generate a landing record

When all required fields are complete, click Generate Landing Record. The bill is saved to the server and appears on the Landing and Seller sheets. Duplicates are rejected.

  4. 4

Set selling rates on Seller sheet

Each product line shows landing cost per piece. Enter selling rates (or apply a markup %). Profit and margin update instantly and sync to the server.

  5. 5

    Review Summary

Open the Summary tab for per-bill totals and an overall rollup — invoice USD, landing INR, revenue, profit, and margin %.

  6. 6

    Print or recalculate

Print the whole sheet or a single seller bill. Use Recalculate on a landing row to reload that bill into the Calculator and edit inputs.

Security & data protection

Your bills are stored on the server, scoped to your account, and protected by multiple layers.

🔒 Encrypted in transit

Deploy behind HTTPS so every login, API call, and saved record travels over TLS — the same encryption used by banks and e-commerce sites.

🔑 Passwords hashed at rest

Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use bcrypt one-way hashing so only you know your password.

🛡️ Session & CSRF protection

Secure HTTP-only session cookies keep you signed in. Every write request (save, delete, rates) requires a CSRF token to block cross-site attacks.

👤 Per-user data isolation

Landing records and seller rates are tied to your user ID on the server. You cannot access another user's data; admins have read-only oversight only.

⚡ Rate limiting hooks

Server middleware hooks throttle login, registration, and API abuse — protecting your account from brute-force and spam requests.

📋 Audit-ready backend

Database schema supports audit logging. Config and credentials live outside the public web root for defense in depth.

Note: This is account-based cloud storage with server-side encryption in transit (HTTPS) and hashed passwords — not client-side end-to-end encryption where only your device holds the key. For maximum privacy, always use HTTPS in production and a strong unique password.
